Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs – aka Ice Age 3 is on release across the world this summer.
The loveable gang are back and on flying form, with the addition of some amusing dinosaurs in particular a trio of demanding babies.
The film grossed a cool $13.8 million in the US on its opening day, making the producers very happy indeed. The film has been well received by critics who have said that it is better than the last one, and therefore similar success is confidently predicted worldwide as the summer blockbuster season hots up.
Simon Pegg, talking about doing the voice over, said, “It’s a hard one when someone says you’re going to play a swashbuckling one-eyed weasel. You don’t know quite where to go for inspiration, you know, I tried to draw on inspiration. I tried to draw on characters like Indianna Jones and Colonel Kurtz from “Apocalypse Now”. There is a little bit of Cockney wide boy in him as well.”
