Jacko’s final resting place still unclear

Plans to bury Michael Jackson at his flamboyant Neverland ranch in California have faded.
The final details of the funeral for the “King of Pop” are unclear.

Conflicting reports suggest a memorial service will take place this coming Tuesday at Los Angeles’ Staples Center arena. The other possible venue is the city’s Coliseum sports stadium.

Jackson’s fans agree that he should be remembered in a special way. Marlan Mayer said: “I think they should make an exception and let him be here because he created this place and you know it should be his final resting place.

Patty Nelson was also clear in her enthusiasm for the late pop star: “You know he’s in our hearts, he’s in our minds, his music will live on forever. So we can have a memorial without displaying his body or having a Graceland , so to speak.”

A will signed by Jackson puts his multi-million dollar estate in a trust for his three children and his mother. The will values his estate at more than 500-million dollars, some 355-million Euros. The documents said Jackson’s estate consisted almost entirely of non-cash, non-liquid assets. But his debts are also said to run into the hundreds of millions.

Jackson is among the best-selling pop stars ever and his 1982 hit “Thriller” is the top-selling album of all time.
