Yemeni plane crashes with 150 on board

A passenger plane with 150 people on board has crashed near the Comoros Islands off Eastern Africa.

The flight, operated by the Yemeni state airline Yemeni Air, was due in at 0230 local time. The aircraft, thought to be an Airbus A310, is believed to have been en route from Paris to the islands’ capital, Moroni, via Yemen. There are reports of bad weather and high wind in the area.
