Euro zone economic sentiment improved more than expected this month, especially among consumers and service providers, according to new data from the European Commission. It is regarded as an indication of an across-the-board feeling that the economic crisis is easing. Sentiment rose to 73.3 points in June, up three points on the previous month. It defied most analysts predictions.
