Qantas has scrapped and deferred orders for 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
The Australian airline cancelled 15 of the fuel-efficient, long-haul planes and has delayed for four years an order for another 15.
It said the decision was to cut back on capital expenditure as demand for international travel slumps.
Aviation analysts warned that more Boeing customers could follow suit.
