At the Innovation Days exhibition in Lisbon, researchers demonstrated a little electric car designed for disabled children. It is equipped with sensors which detect obstacles and can be controlled by pushing a series of buttons or simply by eye or head movements only.

New computer programme “Petit Mozart” makes teaching music theory to children easier. Aimed at chidlren aged 4 to 10 years old, each note is represented by a colourful room on the screen. By going in and out of the rooms, children build up a tune, and depending how long they stay in each room they create a rhythm. They can also chose which instruments to use and then keep it as an MP3 file. So in the future, the difficulty won’t be teaching music theory to children but stopping them making music all day long.More about: Lisbon, Technology
