Deadlock in Iran as details of violence emerge

Officially there have been no organised protests in Tehran today but rallies and unrest continue over Iran’s disputed presidential election. With foreign media severely restricted in what they can report, latest amateur video footage has again been taken by mobile phone and made available through the internet.

Amid reports of rifts opening up between Iran’s political and religious leaders, all 27 EU ambassadors and representatives in Tehran have been summoned for a meeting on Sunday night with the government.More about: ,
