Three women, two Germans and a Korean from a party of nine foreigners kidnapped in Yemen, have been found shot dead near Saada in the north of the country.

Two of them were German nurses working at a hospital in the region, the third was a South Korean teacher. They were among a group of nine foreign nationals believed to have been kidnapped by Shia rebels. The group was made up of seven Germans – including three children – a male British engineer, and the South Korean. They had been on a picnic in Saada, the interior ministry said. One unconfirmed report, quoting unnamed security officials, said the bodies of more of the foreigners had been found. The Yemini government has blamed a Shia rebel group – Huthi Zaidi – for the kidnapping, which they deny.More about: Crime, Yemen
