Pro-Ahmadinejad supporters have also demonstrated outside the French and British embassies, condemning what they call outside interference in Iran’s affairs.
European Union countries are among those urging Iran not to use violence against protesters and to thoroughly investigate Mousavi’s complaints of irregularities.
Clashes have continued today between rival supporters.
Demonstrations that have taken place after hardliner Ahmadinejad was declared the winner are said to be the biggest since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
The Supreme Leader has told Mousavi to pursue his complaints in what he calls a calm and legal manner. His supporters, though, seem to be up for more of a fight.
