Swiss jobless trend is up

The number of people out of work in Switzerland inched down in May but the trend still points to higher unemployment. The Swiss economy fell into recession last year and more and more firms are cutting jobs.

The latest figures show the unemployment rate was 3.4 percent of the working population from 3.5 percent in April. However, when adjusted for seasonal factors the jobless total rose.More about: ,
