After his departure from Britpop kings Blur in 2002, and a disintegrating personal life, few predicted that guitarist Graham Coxon would carve out a successful solo career. But the 40-year-old former Fine Arts student has received critical acclaim working on his own, and this week releases his seventh solo album – The Spinning Top. It’s primarily acoustic and following a narrative – the story of a man from birth to death.
