Turnout for the European elections is also expected to be low in the Czech Republic, where voting was spread over two days in a bid to draw people to the polls.
The Czech Republic is allocated 22 out of the EU parliament’s 736 seats. The vote here is widely seen a test of satisfaction with the government ahead of a general election in October, which is expected to pit ousted liberal premier Topolanek against the opposition Social Democrats.
