Relatives of those on board the missing Air France Airbus are being cared for in a special area of Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.
Loved ones have been directed away from the main arrivals hall. At such a distressing time, authorities are eager to protect friends and families and keep them away from the media. Reporters have descended on the airport, in search of the latest details. More is now known about the passengers on the plane. Air France say there were 126 men, 82 women, 7 children and a baby. Some 80 Brazilians were on board. One third of the passengers were French.
