Soyuz lifts off for ISS

Russia’s workhorse rocket Soyuz has lifted off successfully, on the way to a rendez-vous with the International Space Station.

Today’s flight is a family milestone for Soyuz commander Roman Romanenko – his father Yuri flew in space 30 years ago. There are three astronauts already onboard the station. The Soyuz mission is to help scientists prepare for the future human exploration of space.More about:
