Eleven people have been crushed to death after a fence gave way at a concert in Morocco.

It is reported to have happened as thousands of people rushed to exit gates at the end of the performance in Rabat by the singer Abdeliziz Stati. The concert was part of a festival, some of which was filmed by Euronews three days earlier. There were some minor crowd safety problems at this gathering but no one was injured. Around 30 people are said to have been hurt in yesterday’s incident. The Mawazine festival is one of the biggest cultural annual events in Morocco. It features artists from home and abroad and attracts tens of thousand of people every year.More about: , ,
