Potentially, yes, it is possible, if the member states of the European Union one day agree that the European Union institutions are comptetent to legislate on such matters as family matters and mariage. At the moment, EU member states (have not provided) the EU institutions with such powers to legislate in this area, and therefore the member states have sovereign power, power to legislate on marriage, and we know that many of the EU member states have already provided legal recognition to same-sex couples, in almost half of the member states.”More about: European elections
