EADS profit plummets

European aerospace group EADS’s operating profit for the first three months of the year slumped 70 percent to 232 million euros.

It blamed costs from delays to its A400 military transport plane. The parent company of Airbus also cut its forecast for airline orders, saying its target of 300 orders is “becoming more challenging in the current market environment.”More about:
