This year, out of more than 800 cartoons from 72 countries entered for the 5th “World Press Cartoon” competition, the Grand Prix was won by Mexican cartoonist Rogelio Naranjo for his work “In the Same Ship”.
First prize in the Caricatures Category went to Portuguese artist Andre Carrilho. The second prize went to Spanish cartoonist Javier Carbajo and third place went to Eduardo Baptistao.
A selection of the prize-wniners and the best of the rest is now on display at the Museum of Modern Art in the Portuguese city of Sintra. The exhibition runs until 14th June.
