The British toddler Madeleine McCann disappeared in Portugal two years ago today. Her family have never given up hope of finding her, and have released a computer image of how she might look now, at nearly six.
The little girl went missing from the holiday apartment the McCanns had rented in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz. Despite a wide police investigation, there has been no trace of her. Over the past two years, the McCanns have had to refute allegations they were in some way involved in Maddie’s disappearence. Their other children, twins Sean and Amelie are now four, just older than their sister was when she disappeared. The McCanns have travelled far and wide in their search for Maddie, including an early meeting with the Pope at the Vatican. Two years on, they say the loss of their daughter has left a deep scar on their lives which will never go away.Copyright © 2010 euronews
