More swine flu cases reported in Europe

There are fresh signs that swine flu is spreading in Europe. Britain says two people have now tested positive after Spain declared Europe’s first case.

The United States also reports a total of 40 cases – the majority in the New York school where previous incidents were detected. In Mexico, authorities say the death toll has risen to 150. Most of the victims are aged between 20 and 50. It has caused the EU’s health chief to deliver a warning to people not to travel to the affected countries. Meanwhile, with other incidents still awaiting confirmation in a number of countries, EU health ministers will meet on Thursday to discuss a response.More about:
