Legendary American music producer Phil Spector has been found guilty of murdering an actress at his home in Los Angeles, six years ago.
Once revered for revolutionising pop music in the 1960s with his layered “Wall of Sound” production technique, Spector maintained his innocence.
But, in what was a second trial, he was convicted of murdering 40-year-old B-movie actress Lana Clarkson. She was shot in the mouth and her body found in the foyer of Spector’s mansion. The pair had met hours earlier at a Hollywood nightclub.
Facing at least 18 years behind bars, Spector, 69, plans to appeal the guilty verdict.
