Midnight miracle in L’Aquila

The latest survivor of Italy’s earthquake disaster was brought out overnight; a young woman who had been buried alive for nearly 24 hours.

At least 179 people have died in L’Aquila and the surrounding region, and at least another 34 people are missing. Overnight the area was hit with aftershocks, the strongest of which was felt in Rome. They revived panic and fears that, as terrible as the earthquake was, the worst may not be over.More about: ,
