Ebola accident boosts hopes for a vaccine

When a researcher developing a vaccine for Ebola accidentally pricked herself with a syringe containing the deadly virus, her colleagues needed to act fast. The Zaire strain of Ebola that she had been injecting into lab mice has no known cure and kills up to 90 percent of people infected with it.
