Switzerland is the latest European country to enter recession.

Its economy shrank at the end of last year as export demand slumped and companies cut investment sharply. Swiss GDP fell by 0.3 percent in the fourth quarter compared to the third , it had shrunk by 0.1 percent in the third quarter. It is Switzerland’s first recession in nearly six years, but the country is holding up better than many of its neighbours as consumers and the government kept spending.More about: Switzerland
