The headquarters of Guinea-Bisssau’s armed forces has come under attack by assailants armed with rocket-propelled grenades.

The head of the country’s military General Tagme Na Waie is believed to have died in the raid. Five others suffered injuries. Troops fanned out around the complex in the capital Bissau, in search of the attackers, whose identity is unknown. Witnesses say part of the military building was destroyed during the assault.More about:
