AIG proves poor investment for US government 
US counts material cost of Irene American International Group – which was twice rescued last year by the US government – is reportedly in talks about getting more aid.
Details could be announced by next week when the US insurance group is expected to reveal losses of around 60 billion dollars (47 billion euros). That would be the biggest quarterly loss in corporate history.
