While southeastern Australia is engulfed by fire, the tropical northeast is under water following a week of heavy rain.

At least two people are missing. Another search is underway for a five-year old boy feared taken by a crocodile. People have been warned to look out for crocodiles after large numbers were seen swimming towards the mouth of the flooded Norman River. Queensland, the second largest state, has been declared a natural disaster zone.More about: ,
