A year ago the space shuttle Atlantis delivered the European built laboratory module “Columbus” to the International Space Station. It was, and continues to be, a big success for the European Space Agency, ESA, and the ISS project. The orbiting scientific research unit is yielding vital information that will benefit future space missions.
