Israel has continued its relentless pounding of the Gaza Strip. In Khan Younis in southern Gaza three young children were killed as they played in the street.
Two of the dead are brothers the third their cousin. A Norwegian doctor at Gaza’s Shifa Hospital was quoted as saying the injuries inflicted were not survivable. One of the children was decapitated. There is no sign of a ceasefire on the seventh day of the conflict, in which over 400 Palestinians have been killed and some 2000 injured. Meanwhile, Hamas continues to launch rocket attacks into Israel with the Israeli authorities reporting that the port of Ashkelon and Sdot Negev Regional Council limits, which borders western Gaza, came under attack. One of the rockets struck a house in Ashkelon. A woman was slightly injured by shrapnel and several people are being treated for shock. Four Israelis have been killed since the latest hostilities broke out.Copyright © 2010 euronews
