Rolls Royce aero engines have signed a deal with Etihad airways of Abu Dhabi worth 410 million euros. The contract is to supply and maintain Trent 700EP engines for eight Airbus 330 aircraft, due for delivery between now and 2011.
They will bring Etihad’s Rolls Royce-powered fleet of A 330’s to 24 aircraft. Rolls Royce adds recent improvements on new-build engines has improved fuel consumption by 1.3 percent.
