Low turnout for Ecofin meeting

European Finance Ministers have been in Paris for a meeting called by the French government to prepare for a G20 gathering on future financial reform. But some have criticised the meeting saying they could see no purpose to it. The Eurogroup president, Luxembourg’s Jean-Claude Juncker was not able to make the gathering neither could the German or Czech finance ministers. The European Commissioner for Economic Affairs, Joaquin Almunia, and the heads of the European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund will also be there.
