Obama targetted in Al-Qaeda tape

Just two weeks after winning the US presidential election, Barack Obama has become the target of Al-Qaeda’s second-in-command. In an audio tape, Ayman al-Zawahri urges Muslims to continue attacks on what he calls “criminal” America, and slams Obama for vowing to back Israel during his campaign. Zawahri also criticised Obama for what he described as “turning his back on his Islamic roots”. Obama’s father was a Muslim, but the US president-elect was brought up a Christian.
