Could there be a place for Hillary Clinton in the White House after all?
A Clinton and Obama partnership was touted as the dream ticket before the American election, if the two would work together to win America’s trust.
In the end the president-elect did not need Clinton to win but he may now have asked her to become his Secretary-of-State.
Friends say she has been told the job is hers if she wants it.
But Hillary may have a rival for the role. Bill Richardson, the governor of New Mexico, has apparently met with Obama too for a discussion about the Secretary of State position.
Other names which are being put forward for the key post include former presidential candidate John Kerry.
