He is ahead in the opinion polls, but he is leaving nothing to chance. Just days away from the US elections, Democrat Barack Obama has used a rally in Iowa to clear up any possible confusion over his policies on tax.
He said: “The choice in this election isn’t between tax cuts and no tax cuts, John McCain and I both want to give tax cuts. It’s about who you want to give tax cuts to. “I believe that we shouldn’t just reward wealth we should also reward the workers and the work that creates wealth. And that’s why I’m going to give a tax break to 95 percent of Americans who work every day.”
Obama also hit home other key manifesto points, as his campaign starts a last minute blitz of must-win states.
