Having turned the music industry upside down new technology has the potential to save the book trade, or so say those who are in the business of selling e-books, at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

The fair is an ideal place to showcase the latest developments in the industry with organisers expecting 300,000 visitors to cross the threshold. According to a survey carried out amongst the 1,000 industry professionals on site around 40 percent believe e-books will overtake traditional book sales by 2018. However, traditionalists scoff at the very idea.
