Submarine glider explores southwest Pacific

A team of Peruvian and French scientists have launched a remote-controlled submarine to scour the ocean floor of the south-western Pacific, gathering information they hope could better explain global-warming. The sub propulsion system, which is based on buoyancy, allows it to glide for months on end.
