Old meets new at Grottaglie pottery exhibition

Ceramics have played a big part in the cultural and economic history of Grottaglie in southern Italy and the town is paying homage to the pottery industry in the 15th Mediterranean Ceramics Contest. The event is one of the biggest in a region known as Greater Greece, where ancient and modern ceramics meet.
