ESA due to launch study into Earth`s gravity

The European Space Agency is scheduled to launch a sophisticated mission to investigate the Earth’s gravitational field on September 10. The GOCE satellite or Gravity field Ocean Circulation Explorer is designed to collect data to create a high resolution map of the Earth’s gravitational anomalies and also to survey ocean circulation.
