Democrat Barack Obama is gearing up to accept an historic presidential nomination with a speech laying out his case for change. He will do it at the home of the Denver Broncos football team, in front of 75,000 supporters and a worldwide TV audience of millions.

It is a significant day for this defining moment in the life of the first African-American with a realistic chance of getting to the White House. Today is the 45th anniversary of civil rights leader Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. While he has made a point of not emphasizing his race, Obama is, for many, the embodiment of that dream.
