A number of people have been arrested amid fears of a plot to kill US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
The alarm was raised after a man was stopped by traffic police in Colorado on Sunday. Officers say they found rifles, walkie talkies, and a bulletproof vest in the vehicle driven by Tharin Gartrell.
Others detained include a man who jumped from a hotel window during a police raid.
It is thought the alleged assassination attempt was planned for Thursday when Obama will address the Democrats convention in Denver.
