One of al-Qaeda’s most senior commanders has been killed in Pakistan. Abu Saeed al-Masri was pronounced dead by Pakistani security officials after clashes with troops near the Afghan border. He is thought to have been part of al-Qaeda’s inner circle. The group’s chemical and biological weapons expert was killed last month. At least six other people died when terrorists attacked a Pakistani air force bus in Peshawar. A roadside bomb exploded as the bus passed over a bridge.
