“We will catch all war crime suspects,” Serbia vows

Serbia says it knows its international obligations are not over just because it has delivered Radovan Karadzic to the War Crimes Tribunal.

President Boris Tadic told reporters: “Co-operation with the Hague tribunal is a fact we cannot avoid if we want to raise Serbia’s credibility. We have to arrest all those indicted by the Hague tribunal. It’s our obligation.”

Two Serbian war crimes suspects remain at large. When the self-styled President of the Bosnian Serb Republic was finally run to ground while disguised as a natural healer, Boris Tadic recieved numerous death threats. Ultranationalists called him a traitor.

But the Serbian president used his first news conference since the arrest to assure the country that the hunt for the other two suspects, including Karadzic’s right-hand man, General Ratko Mladic, would go on until they too were behind bars.
