As football’s Euro 2008 tournament draws near, The Dom Museum in Vienna is exploring why certain soccer events engender something which transcends normal enthusiasm.

Its exhibition entitled: “Helden, Heilige, Himmelsstürmer” – or “Heroes, Saints and Romantic Idealists” – highlights similarities between the beautiful game and religion.
