“Speed Racer” hurtles to european cinemas

A movie version of a popular 1960s cartoon has premiered in Berlin and London. “Speed Racer”, which is a combination of live-action and computer animation, stars Susan Sarandon, Christina Ricci and, in the title role, Emile Hirsch. But despite its ‘action-movie’ billing, it remains a family-friendly featrue.
