Rare diseases reaserch boost

A rare disease is defined as affecting less than one in 2,000 people. Many conditions are known as “orphan” diseases because they are too rare to be a priority for health authorities or pharmaceutical companies. But by joining forces across Europe, those at the frontline are making a difference.
