Air France attacked over cabin crew strike

world news

| |

Air France has come under fire from thousands of passengers stranded by a cabin crew strike. Today is the third day that stewards and hostesses have refused to work in a row over pay and conditions.

Hundreds of flights have been cancelled over the weekend, but the company hopes to have 60 percent of its planes in the air today.

However, weary passengers accused Air France of keeping them in the dark.

The strike has coincided with the start of French half-term holidays, with many families trying to get away abroad.

President Sarkozy has despatched his transport minister to Paris’ Orly airport. He may well be in for a difficult afternoon.
