Two suspected members of the Basque armed separatist group ETA have been arrested near Paris in a stolen van. After handing over false ID to the police, both admitted belonging to ETA. Police say there is no connection with the arrest of three other suspected ETA members on Monday in the Basque town of St Jean Pied de Port near Bayonne, close to the Spanish border. The three men were reportedly preparing to cross into Spain in a van packed with explosives, gas bottles, detonators and a rifle.
