Airport security stepped up in the US too

The United States has also boosted security at its airports following the UK attacks. The White House has stressed that there is no indication of any specific threat against US targets but it is playing safe by deploying more police and federal agents. Delays for travellers are deemed inevitable, especially ahead of the 4th of July Independence Day holiday mid-week. But the American government says the move is aimed at reassuring passengers that sufficient anti-terrorist measures are in place.
