Four British soldiers and a civilian interpreter have been killed in a roadside bomb blast in Iraq. The attack in the southern city of Basra destroyed their Warrior armoured fighting vehicle. A fifth soldier was seriously wounded. It brings the number to six, of British troops killed in Iraq this week, making it one of the deadliest for British forces since the US-led invasion in 2003.
