Police in Britain hunting for a likely serial killer have repeated their appeals for prostitutes to stay off the streets. A top Home Office pathologist is carrying out post mortem examinations on the bodies of five naked women found near the eastern English port town of Ipswich. Three of the victims are known to have been working as prostitutes. Police fear the two other bodies may be local sex workers reported missing. In a TV interview, a friend of one of those missing said: “I spoke to Paula on Saturday night, and we came out to work together and both at the same time we both got picked up. So neither of us could take the other one’s number plate.” It’s reported women’s clothing has been found in the river Orwell, just a few kilometres downstream from where the first two bodies were dumped. Police reinforcements have been drafted in to help with the inquiry. It’s also reported all of the women had been left wearing just their jewellery.
